Medicaid Reform

ADAPT will be Meeting with Susan Hogg of the Title19 Waiver program in June to begin talking about changing state regulations.  We must have control of our own services.  Some of the issues that will be on the table are:

1 Lifting the hour limit.

2 Emergency slots made available.

3 Consumers must be allowed to interview homemakers.

4 Individuals have the right to manage and control their own homemaker services.

5 State officials must be more closely monitor homemaker and case management agencies to ensure quality services.

6 Allow consumers the opportunity to train and utilize their own unlicenced attendants.

We need to know your ideas about how the waiver needs to change.
