| E-ticket Night
This picture was taken riding Space
Mountain. Laura was in the back seat.
I had read about the E-ticket night on the Disney
newsgroup rec.arts.disney. parks. If you are staying at a Disney hotel,
and you have a Multi-day park pass, and they are having E-ticket night,
you can get an E-ticket wristband that lets you stay at the park for
three hours after the regular closing. Most of the big rides are open.
Since there aren't many people in the park, you can ride, ride, ride!
We went on January 20, the day after Mary's birthday. We were at Space
Mountain when the park closed. The cast member at the entrance was
trying to explain to a Brazilian group why people with green wristbands
were allowed to ride, while they weren't. She was saying "Corrado,
corrado!, Closed, Closed!" One man was holding up his watchband, to
show he had a wristband. She pointed out that our bands were green,
then waved us in. The Brazilians eyed those green bands hungrily, so we
scampered into the ride!
In the three hours, we (Laura and Steven) rode Space Mountain twice,
watched Alien Encounter, rode Haunted Mansion twice, Splash Mountain
twice, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad three times, and ended up at
Pirates of the Carribean. We were the only people on Pirates, and they
must have had it set on SLOW, because it took a LONG time to go around.
I started thinking about swimming for the exit. I sure didn't want to
be trapped in there!
